Beer is the third most popular drink globally, but its price varies widely depending on the country. According to a Finder report:
- Most expensive pint: Doha, Qatar (£9.95), followed by Dubai (£9.46) and Muscat, Oman (£8.76).
- UK average: £5.50, ranking 11th out of 155 countries. In London, it rises to £6.83.
- Cheapest UK city: Hull, with an average of £3.68.
- World’s cheapest pint: Antananarivo, Madagascar (68p), with several African cities offering pints under 75p.
Rising costs in the UK are attributed to labor, rent, and production expenses, with even budget chains like Wetherspoons increasing prices.
